The student team behind the Berkeley Physics Tournament.
Yael Zayats
Astrophysics / 2028
Outreach Chair
Yael is interested in nuclear physics and space. She is currently in the Kolomensky and Bottom groups at Berkeley, which focus on advanced hardware for radiation detection and adaptive optics, respectively.
Outside of physics, she spends her time ranking spots on Beli (follow me @yzayats!) and exploring new places.
Ty Brennan
Competitions Chair
Physics / 2028
Ty is interested in fundamental physics and novel AI applications. He is currently working for the ATLAS group at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, which focuses on developing advanced graph neural networks for CERN's Large Hadron Collider.
In his free time he enjoys doing archery, volleyball, and cooking.
Everett Anderson
Competitions Chair
Physics, Astrophysics / 2028
Everett is interested in studying protoplanetary disks and searching for indicators of life-sustaining planets before they form through spectroscopy.
Outside of physics, he spends time rock climbing indoors and outdoors, and playing volleyball with his friends.
Forrest Chou
Webmaster
Physics, Math / 2029
Forrest is interested in fluid simulation and applications of AI in math and physics. Forrest also loves writing questions for competitions such as BPT and BMT.
Outside of class, he likes to run, ice skate, take photos, and perform magic.
